We are a non-profit society made up of parents, educators and business people from varying walks of life who support school music programs.

Our mission is to protect and promote public school music education in British Columbia.

Our goal is to see that every child receives a well-rounded and balanced education that includes a comprehensive, sequential, quality program in music.
Music education advocacy information for parents, students, teachers, education decision-makers and anyone else interested in finding out more about the value of music.

2009 Award Winners
The Principals of Music Award was presented at a VSO concert on December 12 to Mr Dave Derpak, Principal of Vancouver Technical Secondary School.  The school music program received $500 from Tom Lee Music, a hand-made snare from Tempus Drums and over 100 tickets from the Vancouver Symphony that will enable students to attend an orchestral concert.

The Leadership in Music Education award was presented to Mr Peter Stigings to acknowledge his life-long contribution to, and advocacy support for, music education in our schools.
